Bora Bora, the far end of the world.
An old volcano in the bluest of lagoons, and a bungalow on stilts above it.
Bora Bora takes some getting to, which is a large part of its charm. Mount Otemanu rises from a lagoon ringed with small islets, and the best rooms stand on the water with the mountain in view.
- Mount Otemanu
- The peak at the centre of the island, seen from everywhere.
- The lagoon
- Every shade of blue, and warm all year.
- The motu
- Small islets around the reef, for a day with nobody else on it.
- The water bungalows
- Rooms on stilts above the lagoon, with the mountain outside.

Starting points
Never packages. Livia shapes every part around the people travelling, and one reservation holds the whole of it.
Good to know
- When to go
- May to October is the cooler, drier season.
- Getting there
- A flight from Tahiti takes about fifty minutes. The airport stands on its own islet, so the last stretch is by boat across the lagoon.
- Prices
- Every price is indicative until your concierge confirms it in writing.
